What’s your option?

I remember, when I was about four years old… I see blurry images from the memory, but I remember.

I wanted a cup of hot beverage and there was no stopping me…and so I went to make one for myself.

I remember using a stool to level up with the table top. I remember opening a flask of very hot water. I remember trying to pour into a cup. I remember losing my balance and falling off the stool. I remember screaming and crying when the flask spilled it’s hot contents on my stomach and my right thigh.

I love tea, coffee and cocoa…and I love them hot 🔥…and I have a scar to show for it 😁

A couple of weeks ago, my sisters and I were discussing on several topics and somehow we got to Latté. I promised to send the recipe to them to make at home.

But Angela decided to pass on the Latté…”I’m not a coffee person, that’s my problem.
And I don’t even like the taste of milk in coffee and tea…so I think it’s safe to just pass on the Latté”

Everyone wants their beverage a certain type of way.

What are your choices? And how do you like them?… hot or cold?

Lucky

Some days, ‘lucky’ to me is as simple as finding four seeds in a nutshell.

Just like finding a five leaf clover.

I remember the day SonTer felt like a king… He had been playing outside…

He ran in with a leaf in his hand and a wide smile on his face;

“Look, mommy, I found a five leaf clover”

You never know till you feel

I remember a season in my life…

I found a draft (I titled it ‘Numb’) of feelings…and then I remembered the season.

I never knew that I could ever feel that way… I often wondered, if people exaggerated their narratives when they shared their experiences…

Now I know better.

Numb

I’ve been sad before

This isn’t sadness

I can’t breathe

I can’t feel… Not a thing

I’m floating everyday

The sun rises and it sets

Days have become weeks

I put on the mask of the day, everyday

No one knows…

Smiley face… Happy face…. Facade

I am tired of this feeling

How can I make it stop?

Too numb to even try

I hear someone whisper to me; “I think this is depression”

Time out

Video from mills & boon

I found this video and I couldn’t stop thinking how many times a good romance novel has helped me relax and reset.

I don’t know how it happens but sometimes when I am stressed and overwhelmed, all I have to do is bury myself in a good romance novel and I’m healed.

Most girls say they stopped reading mills & boon, silhouette and other romance books after their teenage years.

I didn’t stop.

I love to dream and they make the best material.

Currently reading the Colleen Hoover 'Maybe Trilogy'; Someday, Not and Now

Moon after my heart

Captured on my way home one evening

I don’t know what made it special.

Maybe it was because I hadn’t seen a moon in a while…

I’m usually indoors by the time it’s out.

So, seeing it…and in day light…made my heart leap…

I didn’t know I had a thing for it

But it was clear…the moon… especially before dark, made my heart sing.

Too

He had a small frown on his face as he said from the back seat “mommy you are too nice”.

I thought about it for a while and responded; “Is that a bad thing?”

“I don’t know, but you are too nice”.

This conversation came just after I let a fellow parent cut in front of me at his school during the morning drop off.

I still don’t know what to make of his words.

But in my mind ‘too’ is a negative word.

My mom uses it when she comments on how long it takes me to come over…she says; “You are usually too busy”.

Do you think ‘too’ is a negative word?

Claire

Dear soft lady…that’s what we all call you.

Because you are so.

I’ve never thought of you as much as I have in the weeks I’ve binged on Outlander.

The way Mrs Beauchamp Fraser reminds me of you…

First with her name; Claire

Then in her modesty and in the way she cares for the most random of strangers.

Her soft tone and the pauses in between sentences.

One thing I’d say she doesn’t have in common with you, is her tenacity… Claire Beecham is one persistent woman… Sometimes irritating and unnecessary.

…but she’s a good woman

…and she reminds me of you
