To continue my happiness challenge, today I want to write about the happiness of making somebody else happy.
There’s a certain feeling you get when you see that something you did, something you thought of and did, made someone happy, made someone excited, and then this bounces back and gives you an excited feeling.
When someone does something for me, especially when it’s something I mentioned in passing or something that they remembered about me without me having to remind them, it makes me happy to know that they paid attention, they remembered, and they thought of me.
So I like to do that for somebody, to think about them and do something that will make them happy. And when they are happy, in turn, I feel happy.
So that’s my happy for today. That’s my talk about happiness for today: the happiness of making somebody else happy.
