It’s funny how things happen sometimes.
I started reading Jodi Picoult’s Wish You Were Here the other day, and I’ve been dragging it slowly. Then today, I found myself awake and decided to watch Love of Your Life on Prime. I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while, without knowing it had anything to do with COVID-19.
It was only after I started reading and watching that I realised they both had something to do with the same period.
COVID-19.
It’s interesting how different it feels when you’re reading a story about something you’ve actually lived through. I watch a lot of movies based on true stories and often find myself learning about things I never knew or experiences I’ve never had. But with this, I can relate in a different way because I was there, too. I lived through the lockdown, just like so many other people.
It’s one thing to read about a period in history, and it’s another to read a story that takes you back to a time you remember living through.
I like the feeling.

It is good. You get more as you get older 🙂

Thank you Derrick.
You said something similar when I lost a a beother/friend earlier in the month and it stuck with me.

You’re welcome, Mimi. 😍 I caught Covid when I was in the hospital for a bleeding ulcer that made me a bit dizzy.

I’m sorry about that.
I’m really glad it’s not as bad as it was back then.
