I don’t know if other people feel this, but there is a certain kind of happiness I find when I discover new things. A new book, a new series, a new author whose writing draws me in, or even a new person whose mind I find fascinating.
I love learning things I didn’t know before. I love conversations that introduce me to new ideas and perspectives, the kind that leave me thinking long after the conversation has ended.
Sometimes, all it just takes is one good discovery or one beautiful conversation to make my day. I go to bed feeling happy, almost as though I’ve gained something valuable, even if I can’t quite explain what it is.
I think it’s the reason I’m in love with Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Great thinking based on blessed Isaiah, Mimi!
