Starting Your Day Right

I have a book by Joyce Meyer for over 15 years. It’s a daily devotional titled ‘Starting your day right’. I have a physical copy and an e-copy.

The good thing about this devotional is you can use it every and any year. Now, the thing is,  I keep hoping to….but I have never followed it from January to December. Maybe I will someday… fingers crossed, 2026.

Today, I sat at my desk and got it set up for a fresh day, and I decided to take a photo. I tagged it in my photo gallery; “starting the day right”.

Just as I sat back to relax and enjoy the morning at work, I remembered, just last week, I was on my way to work when I stopped for a convenience break and saw some wild flowers, I paused and picked them and took them on the rest of the drive to work. They made my day good.

I may not follow Joyce’s daily devotional all of the time, but I guess I’m conscious about how I begin my day.

How do you start your day? Are you intentional about the positives?… About keeping it right?

  1. I love that you stopped for the flowers. brilliant. I am retired now, but I try really hard to remember to ease into the day and not rush unless I have an appointment to be somewhere and I am loving that

  2. Enjoyed this start to the day, Mimi. I have a couple of daily devotionals which I refer to, and while I don’t always start my day with them, I was thinking about mentioning them in a future post. You may have inspired me to do just that. I do have a routine when starting my day, but wild flowers sounds like a great diversion from my “plan.” I do always keep on the lookout for the wildlife we enjoy in our area, and enjoy pulling over for a minute or two and just watching them do their thing.
